Huangshan – Guilin via Shangrao by High Speed Train
Currently, there are no direct trains linking Huangshan with Guilin or Yangshuo. And usually travelers have to make a train connection at Shangrao Railway Station (上饶站). You can take one of the numerous high speed train from Huangshan North to Shangrao first (Check: Huangshan to Shangrao train), then from Shangrao Railway Station, there are about 4 daily G type high speed trains running to Guilin Railway Station at 11:07, 11:51, 12:24 (Check: Shangrao to Guilin train), and 12:47, taking 6.5 – 7 hours and costing from CNY 445.5 in a second class seat to cover the 1074-kilometer rail journey. Remember to allow enough connection time for making the transfer in Shangrao Railway Station (Gennerally speaking 45 – 60 minutes are enough for catching your connecting train to Guilin).

Majory Stations & Attractions on the Route
While making your way on the Huangshan – Shangrao – Guilin route, you may considering spliting your journey for a stop off at some cities that worth visiting. Below are some major train stations and also some attractions that worth visiting on your route:
Huangshan – Shangrao section: Huangshan North – Wuyuan (visit Hui Villages & see flowers) – Dexing – Shangrao.
Shangrao – Guilin (Yangshuo) section: Shangrao – Nanchang West (Jiangxi Province’s capital city) – Changsha South (Hunan Province’s capital city, for Fenghuang or Zhangjiajie) – Henyang East (for Mt Hengshan) – Guilin (From Guilin Railway Station, you can catch a connecting train to Yangshuo Railway Station).
Which Station to Use in Huangshan & Guilin
Just be noted that Huangshan has two train stations: Huangshan North Railway Station (Huangshanbei) is the newly-built train station for high speed train service (G type), while the old station Huangshan Railway Station is for regular trains (K, Z, T type train). Your trains to Shangrao is using Huangshan North. In Guilin, there are 3 trains in operation: Guilin Railway Station, Guilin North Railway Station and Guilin West Railway Station. Your trains from or to Shangrao is using Guilin Railway Station (Guilin Main Station).
If you want a onward travel to Yangshuo, you can take a bus from the centrally-located Guilin Bus Station, which is near Guilin Railway Station, or catch a train from Guilin Railway Station, or Guilin North or Guilin West to Yangshuo Railway Station.

What is the best way to get from Guilin to Fenghuang and Zhangjiajie?
