The Chengdu-Yibin High-Speed Railway and Tianfu Airport Railway Station both opened on December 16, 2023. Passengers can now take the high-speed train between Chengdu East Railway Station and Tianfu International Airport (Tianfujichang Station) to travel between the city center and the airport.

Chengdu East – Tianfu Airport Train Schedule

There are 5 trains daily that run between Chengdu East Railway Station (Chengdudong) and Tianfujichang Station (Tianfu Airport Railway Station). The journey takes only 26 – 27 minutes and costs CNY 24 for a second-class seat, CNY 38 for a first-class seat, and CNY 82 for a business-class seat. The first train from Chengdu East Railway Station departs at 07:26, while the last train departs at 15:05. From Tianfujichang Station, the first train departs at 08:44, while the last train departs at 20:43.

Station to Airport Transfer

Taking the high-speed rail from Chengdu East (Chengdudong) to Tianfu Airport Station (Tianfujichang) or vice versa is convenient and efficient.

Upon arrival at Tianfu Airport Station via the high-speed rail, passengers can easily reach the transfer hall within 3 minutes using elevators, as guided by station signs. The transfer hall on the ground floor provides “Check-in” counters on both sides, where passengers can complete check-in procedures and handle baggage drop-off before proceeding directly to the airport terminal for boarding.

Tianfujichang Railway Station

Tianfujichang Station is located underground in the comprehensive transportation center of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) in Lujia Town, Jianyang City, Sichuan Province. It is a railway station on the Chengdu – Zigong – Yibin High-Speed Railway. The station has 2 platforms and 6 railway lines.

Chengdu East Railway Station

Chengdu East Railway Station is located in the Jinniu District of Chengdu. Passengers can take the subway line 2, line 7 to travel between Chengdu East Railway Station.

For passengers traveling from other places without direct high-speed train service to Tianfujichang Station, such as Leshan Station, Emeishan Station, Ya’an Station, Zhenjiangguan Station, Huanglongjiuzhai Station, Suining Station, Nanchong Station, and Mianyang Station, you can consider transferring at Chengdu East Railway Station before heading to Tianfujichang Station.

Tianfu Airort by Metro line 19 & line 18

In addition to the high-speed train, passengers can also take the subway to reach Tianfu International Airport. Passengers can take subway line 18 to travel between Tianfu International Airport and downtown Chengdu. The subway journey takes approximately 37 minutes and runs from 06:00 to 23:30.
