Chengdu Shuangliu Airport
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) is the major airport serving Chengdu, and located in Shuangliu District, 16km southwest of Chengdu. It is about 20km from Chunxi Road in central Chengdu, 18km from Chengdu’s city center -Tianfu Square, 24km from Chengdu East Train Station, 20km from Chengdu South Train Station.
From July of 2021, a new international airport – Chengdu Tianfu Airport (TFU) will be put into service, mainly handling international flight services, while Chengdu Shuangliu Airport (CTU) will mainly handle domestic services. (see Chengdu Shuangliu Airport to Tianfu Airport)

How to Get to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport
By metro: Chengdu Shuangliu Airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are both liked by metro line 10 to Taipingyuan Station, which is also the transfer station for metro line 3 (Chunxi Road, ) and line 7 (Chengdu East Station, South Station, Chadianzi, Railway North Station).
By train: Shuangliu Airport Railway Station (Shuangliu Jichang) is an underground train station located in -1F of Terminal 2 in Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, serving as the airport rail link. How to Get from Chongqing to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport

By train: There are no direct high speed trains liking Chongqing and Chengdu Airport. You have to make a transfer at Chengdu East or Chengdu South. But Chengdu East is a prefered option as it has more trains to Shuangliu Airport than Chengdu South. Here is the step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Take a G or D high speed train from Chongqing to Chengdu East first, departing from Chongqing North (34 daily), Shapingba Station (10 trains daily) or Chongqing West (27 trains daily) and arriving at Chengdu East. G train is faster than D train, and Chongqing North & Shapingba Station are centrally-located with easier access than Chongqing West.
Step 2: When arriving at Chengdu East, transfer to a C high speed train to Shuangliu Airport (Shuangliu Jichang). The trains run 11 times daily, journey time is 15-20 mins. Remember to use www.chinahighlights.com./china-trains/ to plan your rail journey.
How to Get from Chengdu East Station to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport
By train: You can take an intercity high speed train (C train) to travel between Chengdu East Train Station and Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. From Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, there are 12 daily C trains running from Shuangliu Airport Station to Chengdu East Station. From Chengdu East Station, there are 10 daily to Shuangliu Airport Station. By metro: Take metro line 7 at Chengdu East Railway Station to Taipingyuan (太平园), then transfer to line 10 to get to the Terminal 1 of Shuangliu Airport or Terminal 2 of Shuangliu Airport. Journey time about 1 hour.
How to Get from Chengdu South Station to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport
By train: There are C trains (intercity trains) linking Chengdu South Station and Shuangliu Airport Station beneath Terminal 2 of Shuangliu Airport. 4 from Chengdu South to Airport and 3 from Airport to Chengdu South daily, taking 10 minutes and costing from CNY8. By metro: Take metro line 7 at Chengdu South Railway Station to Taipingyuan (太平园), then transfer to line 10 to get to the Terminal 1 of Shuangliu Airport or Terminal 2 of Shuangliu Airport. Jouney time about 50 mins.
Bus Stations – Chengdu Shuangliu Airport
Chadianzi Bus Station – Shuangliu Airport: Just take metro line 7 from Chadianzi Station to Taipingyuan Station (太平园站) first, then change to line 10 to get to Shuangliu Airport Terminal 1 metro station. Then, just walk 300 meters to get to the airport.
Xinnanmen Bus Station – Shuangliu Airport: Take metro line 3 from Xinnanmen station to Taipingyuan Station first, then connect to line 10 to get to Shuangliu Airport Terminal 1 metro station (EXIT D). Then, just take 300 meters to get to the airport.
