Zhangjiajie Railway Station
Zhangjiajie Railway Station (张家界站) built in 2008, is situated at Yingbin Road, Yongding District of Zhangjiajie City (张家界市永定区迎宾路), about 2 kilometers from city center, 4.5 kilometers from Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, 36 kilometers from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park at Wulingyuan Scenic Area.
Zhangjiajie Railway Station is maily serving K, T, Z type normal trains (non-highspeed) connecting Changsha, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanning, Liuzhou, Guiyang, etc. Passengers can take Bus 5 and 6 to get to the railway station.
High Speed Rail Service: No high speed train serving Zhangjiajie now. The high speed rail linking Zhangjiajie, Jisou and Huaihua began construction in 2016, and will open servince in several years.
The station has 14 ticket windows for passenger ticket service and 2 for enquiry service.

Zhangjiajie Bus Station
Zhangjiajie Bus Station, or Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station (Zhangjiajie Zhongxin Qiche Zhan, 张家界中心汽车站) is next to Zhangjiajie Railway Station (on the left side). The bus station serves as a very important point for those who access ZJJ by bus or go to the forest park and Wulingyuan. Operation time for this station is from 06:00 to 19:00.
Get to Zhangjiajie by Bus
Zhangjiajie Bus Station has good bus connections with major cities including: Changsha, Jishou, Fenghuang, Huaihua, Tongren, Changde, etc. If your cities has no rail links with Zhangjiajie, you can travel to one of the transfer points mentioned above first, then get transfer to Zhangjiajie by bus. For instance, there are no trains running between Chengdu and Zhangjiajie, but you want to travel from Chengdu to Zhangjiajie. Thus, you can travel from Chengdu to Tongren by rail first, then take a bus to Zhangjiajie.
By Bus to Forest Park & Wulingyuan
From Zhangjiajie Bus Station, travelers can buy tickets to forest park (40 mins, CNY10) or Wulingyuan (50 mins, CNY12). These buses depart every 10 – 15 mins.

Wulingyuan Bus Station (武陵源汽车站) is serving the Wulingyuan Scenic Spot, and has bus service to Zhangjiajie Bus Station, Fenghuang, Changsha and Chengde.
Zhangjiajie by Air
The most convient way to travel to Zhangjiajie is using flights. Unlike the less developed rail network, Zhangjiajie’s air transportation gets well developed with second most both domestic and international air routes in Hunan Province, only after the capital city Changsha. If you departe for Zhangjiajie from Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou, taking a flight would be your fastest way. The flights fly twice in a day.
Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport
Zhangjiajie Hehua Internatinal Airport (DYG) is located at Jichang Road, Zhangjiajie City. The airport is quite small and located southwest of Zhangjiajie and can be accessable by Bus No.4 (CNY1, 06:00 – 19:00).
Currently, Zhangjiajie Airport has opened air routes to over 20 domestic cities, and is operating daily flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Chengdu, Changsha, Xi’an, Qingdao, Shenyang and Nanjing.
