How to Travel between HK & Guangxi Province
Guangxi Province is the neignbor province of Guangdong Province and very close to Hong Kong. But except Guilin, most of the cities in Guangxi Province don’t have high speed rai links to Hong Kong. Passengers have to make a transfer at Guangzhou South or Shenzhen North.
In this page, you will learn how to travel to or from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to major cities in Guangxi Province including: Nanning, Liuzhou, Guilin, Wuzhou, Guigang, Yulin, Fangchenggang, Beihai, Laibin, Qinzhou, Baise, Sanjiang, Yangshuo, etc.

As most of major cities in Guangxi Province don’t have direct high speed trains to or from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, you will have to make a transfer at Guangzhou South Station or Shenzhen Station. But Guangzhou South is better than Shenzhen North as it operates more trains to or from Guangxi Province.
For example, from Hong Kong to Wuzhou, you can go on Hong Kong West Kowloon to Guangzhou South to Wuzhou South (HK – GZ – WZ), or Hong Kong West Kowloon to Shenzhen North to Wuzhou South (HK – SZ – WZ).

Hong Kong – Wuzhou by High Speed Train
From HK to Wuzhou: Take one of the numerous high speed trains from HK West Kowloon to Guangzhou South (or Shenzhen North) first, then a connecting train to Wuzhou South. After reaching at Wuzhou South, you can ride a bus or taxi to get to Wuzhou City area. It is just 40-60 minutes by bus. Just refer to Hong Kong to Wuzhou by train page.
From Wuzhou to HK: Just travel on this route Wuzhou South – Guangzhou South (Shenzhen North) – Hong Kong West Kowloon.
Hong Kong – Liuzhou by High Speed Train
From HK to Liuzhou: Take a high speed train from West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong to Guangzhou South, then a train to Liuzhou Railway Station.
From Liuzhou to HK: You can take a high speed train to Guangzhou South first, then a connecting train to HK.
Hong Kong – Sanjiang by High Speed Train
From HK to Sanjiang: No direct trains are available. But you can travel from HK to Guangzhou South first, then a train to Sanjiang South Station.
Hong Kong – Yulin by Bullet Train
From HK to Yulin: As Yulin has no diret high speed trains to or from Guangzhou and HK, you will have to make two transfer. First, take a high speed train from HK West Kowloon to Guangzhou South, then connect to a bullet train to Guigang Railway Station in Guangxi Province, then another D-class high speed train to Yulin Railway Station.
From Yulin to HK: Just go on this route: Yulin – Guigang – Guangzhou South – HK West Kowloon Station.
Hong Kong – Fangchenggang by High Speed Train
From HK to Fangchenggang: It doesn’t have any high speed trains between Fangchenggang North Statin and Guangzhou South & HK West Kowloon. You need to make two transfer. Take a high speed train from HK to Guangzhou South, then a connecting to Nanning East Station, and then a high speed train from Nanning East to Fangchenggang North.
From Fangchenggang to HK: Go via this route: Fangchenggang North – Nanning East – Guangzhou South – HK West Kowloon.
Hong Kong – Beihai by High Speed Train
From HK to Beihai: Get onboard one of the frequent high speed trains from HK West Kowloon to Guangzhou South, then a direct highs peed train from Guangzhou South to Beihai Railway Station in Guangxi Province.
From Beihai to HK: Travel on route: Beihai – Guangzhou South – HK West Kowloon.
