Fenghuang Railway Station, the high speed train station serving Fenghuang Ancient Town in Xiangxi of Hunan Province, will open at the end of 2021 along with the openning of the Zhangjiajie – Jishou – Huaihua High Speed Rail. By then, there will be high speed trains running along Zhangjiajie West, Furong Zhen, Jishou, and Huaihua South, even Changsha South.
Whether there will be direct high speed trains linking Chongqing with Fenghuang remains unknow, but you can surely travel on this route with high speed trains: Chongqing West – Huaihua South – Fenghuang. It will be very easy to travel between Chongqing and Fenghuang by train when the rail opens.

Huaihua South Railway Station (HuaihuaNan) is a major transfer station for going to Fenghuang, Furong Zhen (Furong Town), and Zhangjiajie West. Huaihua South has high speed trains to or from Chengdu, Chongqing, Guiyang, Kunming, Changsha, Hangzhou, Huangshan North, Shanghai, Guilin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, etc.
After the Fenghuang Railway Station opened at the end of 2021, it will be possible to travel from Chongqing West to Fenghuang via Huaihua South by high speed train (Chongqing West – Huaihua South – Fenghuang).
Fenghuang Railway Station – Fenghuang Ancient Town
Fenghuang Railway Station is still under construction and will open for service along with the openning of Zhangjiajie – Jishou – Huaihua High Speed Rail by the end of 2021. It is located near Fenghuang Ancient Town, and there will be medium-low speed maglev trains linking Fenghuang Railway Station with Fenghuang Ancient Town.
