Changping Railway Station

Changping Railway Station (Chinese name:常平站), located in the town of Changping in Dongguan, is an important railway transportation hub on the Guangzhou – Shenzhen Intercity Railway, connecting several major cities (Guangzhou, towns in Dongguan, Shenzhen) in Guangdong province and Hong Kong West Kowloon. Changping Railway Staiton used to served Guangzhou – Kowloon Through trains, but the through train serivces have been discontinued during the covide-19. But now It has introuced high speed rail services to Hong Kong West Kowloon & Shenzhen North since April of 2023.

Train Schedule

From Changping Railway Station, there are frequent trains running to Guangzhou Railway Station, Guangzhou East Station, Dongguan Railway Station, Zhangmutou Station, Dongguan South Station, Shenzhen Railway Station, Shenzhen North Station, and now, Hong Kong West Kowloon. It serves as an important rail hub.

Hong Kong – Changping by Train

Starting from April 1, 2023, high-speed train services from Hong Kong West Kowloon to Changping have been launched, with train No. G6554 departing at 10:00 and train No. G6552 departing at 19:21. The journey takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes and costs CNY132. See Hong Kong to Changping train page.

Meanwhile, there are also high-speed trains from Changping Railway Station to Hong Kong West Kowloon, with train No. G6551 departing at 08:35 and train No. G6557 departing at 15:07. The journey also takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes and costs CNY132. The train services below pass through Shenzhen North, Dongguan South, before terminating at Guangzhou East.

Guangzhou – Changping by Train

There are frequet train services to Changping from Guangzhou Railway Station, Guangzhou East Station, both of which are centrally-located in Guangzhou with easy access.

Shenzhen – Changping by Train

Trains to Changping are mostly departing from Shenzhen Railway Station in Luohu District, and only 4 are using Shenzhen Bei Railway Station.
