Suzhou Railway Station
Suzhou Railway Station (Chinese name: 苏州站) is the main train station centrally located in Gusu District of Suzhou City (苏州市姑苏区), about 3 kilometers from Zhuozheng Garden (拙政园), and is served by high speed trains running on Shanghai – Nanjing Intercity Railway as well as normal trains on Beijing – Shanghai Railway. The station has two squares: the South Square and North Square. From Suzhou Railway Station, passengers can take bullet trains to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi, Kunshan, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenzhen, etc. And also night trains to Chongqing, Guangzhou, Xian, Huangshan, etc. More rail travel guides can be found below.
How to Get to Suzhou Railway Station
Suzhou Train Station can be reached by Suzhou Rail Transit line 2 and line 4 at Suzhou Railway Station metro stop. Besides, pulic buses also links this station including bus 1, 26, 38, 119, 91, 6, 7, 80, etc.
Suzhou North Railway Station
Suzhou North Railway Station (SuzhouBei, Suzhou bei, or 苏州北站 in Chinese) is another train station in Suzhou that serves high speed trains along the famous Beijing – Shanghai High Speed Railway, and it is located in Xiangcheng District of Suzhou Ciyt (苏州市相城区), about 10.5 kilometers from Suzhou Railway Station. And both are linked by metro line 2. Suzhou North serves as a very important station for those who want to take high speed trains to Beijing, as most of the high speed trains from Suzhou to Beijing departs at Suzhou North and arrives at Beijing South.
Besides, passengers can also take high speed trains from Suzhou North to Shanghai, Nanjing, Jinan, Tianjin, Qingdao, Zhengzhou East Train Station and Xuzhou etc.
How to Get to Suzhou North
Passengers can take metro line 2 or public bus 77, 80, 139, 711, 819, 866 to get to Suzhou North Station.

You may want to do a rail trip to Huangshan for Mount Yellow after visiting Suzhou. You can eighter travel by high speed train or a night train.
Option 1: Suzhou to Huangshan by High Speed Train via Hefei
There are no direct high speed trains, but only some night trains linking Suzhou with Huangshan currently. However, you can still travel by high speed train from Suzhou to Huangshan by making a connection at Hefei South (Suzhou – Hefei South – Huangshan North). First, take a high speed train from Suzhou Railway Station to Hefei South Railway Station, 35 daily, 2-3 hours & from CNY164.5, then change onto a high speed train from Hefei South to Huangshan North Station, 28 daily, 1.5-2 hours & from CNY 140.5. Remember to allow at least 50 minutes connection time.
You may want to do a rail trip to Huangshan for Mount Yellow after visiting Suzhou. You can eighter travel by high speed train or a night train.

As the famous Chinese saying goes: “Just as there is paradise in heaven, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou on earth. (上有天堂、下有苏杭)”, Suzhou and Hangzhou are the two beautiful cities you should pay a visit. Luckily, there are frequent high speed trains linking the two cities making it easy to travel between. There are 25 daily high speed trains runing from Suzhou to Hangzhou, 15 of which departs from Suzhou Railway Station and 10 runs from Suzhou North Railway Station, then most of them arrives at Hangzhou East Railway Station with only one stopping at Hangzhou Railway Station. Personally, I would suggest you to travel from Suzhou Station, which is centrally located with easy access. A single bullet train journey takes 1.5-2 hours and costs from CNY 82 or 110.
