Nanjing – Huangshan for Mount Yellow by High Speed Train

Introduction

It is very convenient to take a high speed train between Nanjing and Huangshan, making it easy for foreign tourists exploring the beauty of Yellow Mountain.

The high-speed trains from Nanjing to Huangshan all depart from Nanjing South Station (Nanjingnan) and stop at Huangshan North Station. The journey takes about 2 hours 46 minutes to 4 hours 38 minutes. All high-speed trains to Huangshan arrive at Huangshan North Station (Huangshanbei), which is approximately 50 km  from the southern gate of Huangshan Scenic Area in Tangkou. To reach the scenic area from Huangshan North Station, you can take a shuttle bus from the adjacent Huangshan Tourism Passenger Transport Hub. The bus fare to Tangkou is ¥23, and the journey takes about 50 minutes.

Nanjing – Huangshan Train Schedule

The high-speed trains from Nanjing to Huangshan all depart from Nanjing South Station and stop at Huangshan North Station. The journey takes approximately 2 hours 46 minutes to 4 hours 38 minutes. For the returning trip, it offers 11 trains daily from Huangshan North to Nanjing South.

Bus to Tangkou from Huangshan North

From Huangshan North Station to Tangkou, you can take the bus from the nearby Huangshan Tourism Passenger Transport Hub, which runs from 8:00 to 20:20 every day, every 30 minutes in peak season and every hour in low season, the fare is 23 yuan per person, and the journey takes 50 minutes.

Huangshan North Railway Station

Huangshan North Station (Huangshanbei Station) is located in Xixi South Town, Huizhou District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It opened on June 28, 2015, along with the Hefei – Fuzhou High Speed Railway Line. The station is about 10 km from the old Huangshan Railway Station, 11 km from Tunxi District (the city government location), 50 km from Huangshan Scenic Area, and only 7 km from Tunxi International Airport.

If you want to travel by train to Huangshan, you need to know that there are three train stations in Huangshan City:

Among them, Huangshan North Station and Huangshan West Station are high-speed train stations, while Huangshan Station is a old train station for slow trains. Huangshanxi Station is currently under construction and is expected to open in 2024.
