The costal city Yangjiang in west Guangdong Province has 3 train stations for high speed rail services, namely Yangjiang Railway Station, Yangdong Railway Station and Yangxi Railway Station. Yangjiang Railway Station (Chinese name: 阳江站) is the most used one for bullet trains. Currently, there are no direct high speed trains linking Hong Kong and Yangjiang, passengers have to make a transfer at Guangzhou South Railway Station (Guangzhounan). The best route is Hong Kong West Kowloon Station – Guangzhou South – Yangjiang.
From Hong Kong to Yangjiang: Just take a high speed train from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou South Railway Station first, taking around 45 mins. The train services are frequent. Then, you change to a connecting high speed train to Yangjiang Railway Station, 46 trains daily, taking 1.5 hours and from CNY122. Just remember to allow 40-50 minutes in Guangzhou South Station for making the transfer.
Yangjiang Train Station
Yangjiang Railway Station is located 5 km south of the urban area, which has frequent bullet trains to or from Zhanjiang West, Maoming, Jiangmen, Kaiping South, Foshan West, Guangzhou South, even furthur to Beijing. Tourist special line to Hailing Island from Yangjiang Railway Station takes about 1 hour.

Zhanjiang City in west Guangdong Province has two train stations for passengers service, and Zhanjiang West Railway Station (ZhanjiangXi Station) is the only one for high speed rail services. But Zhanjiang West has no direct bullet trains to or from Hong Kong yet. So if you are travelling by high speed train from Hong Kong to Zhanjiang, you need to make a transfer at Guangzhou South Railway Station.
From Hong Kong to Zhanjiang: Just hop-on one of the frequent cross-boundary high speed trains from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou South Railway Station first, taking 50 minutes. After arriving at Guangzhou South, you just follow the transfer signs, which directs you to go upstairs to the train boarding level. You will be asked to check train tickets for both your trips by the train station staffs when entering the gates. Then, you just catch a connecting train from Guangzhou South to Zhanjiang West, taking 3 hours, and costing from CNY 228, 46 trains daily.
Zhanjiang West Railway Station
Zhanjiang West Train Station (ZhanjiangXi) is a train station for high speed trains located in Mazhang District in Zhanjiang City, about 15 km from the city center in Xiashan District. The train station serves high speed trains to or from Maoming, Yangjiang, Jiangmen, Guangzhou South, Humen, Shenzhen North, Shenzhen Futian, Huizhou South, Shanwei, Chaoshan, Shantou, Foshan West, even Beijing West.

From Hong Kong to Kaiping: Since there is no direct trains connecting Hong Kong and Kaiping, travellers have to make a train connection at Guangzhou South. Firstly, just take a high speed train from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou South (Guangzhounan), then change to a connecting train to Kaiping South Railway Station. The trains from Guangzhou South to Kaiping South are C-category or G-category high speed trains, and there are 23-25 trains daily. Travel time is about 1 hour. A second class seat costs from CNY 72.

Kaiping South Railway Station
Kaiping South Railway Station, or called Kaipingnan Train Station is a train station along the Shenzhen – Zhanjiang Railway, which is situated in Yanshan Village on Sanbu St in Kaiping, Yangjiang City of Guangdong. It is about 5 km south of Kaiping’s urban area. There is a public bus 621 linking Kaiping South Railway Station and Yici Bus Station (operation time: 07:15 – 20:40). Kaiping South Train Station has high speed trains to or from Zhanjiang West, Maoming, Yangjiang, Taishan, Jiangmen, Foshan West, Guangzhou South, Humen, Shenzhen North.
