Chongqing – Jiuzhaigou via Zhenjiangguan

If you’re planning to travel from Chongqing to Jiuzhaigou by high-speed train, you need to take a train to Chengdu East first, then catch a train to Zhenjiangguan Station, from where you can connect to a bus to Songzhou Bus Station, and take either a bus ro taxi to Jiuzhaigou Valley. here’s a guide to help you navigate your journey.

Step 1: Departing from Chongqing for Chengdu East

Your journey begins in Chongqing. You can catch a high-speed train to Chengdu East Station from any of the following stations in Chongqing:

• Chongqing North Station (Chongqingbei, North Square by Line 4 & Line 10; South Square by Line 3 & Line 10 & Loop Line).
• Chongqing West Station (Chongqingxi, it is served by Line 5 (Southern section) and Loop line).
• Shapingba Station (Shapingba, it can be reached by metro Line 1, Line 9 and the Loop Line).

Step 2: At Chengdu East Station, Transfer to Zhenjiangguan

Once you arrive at Chengdu East Station, you will need to transfer to a train bound for Zhenjiangguan Station. There are two trains daily, and the journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The C6376, departing at 10:30 AM, is the best choice. This train is ideally timed for visitors, as it arrives at 12:21 PM, just in time for the complimentary shuttle bus that departs from Zhenjiangguan Station at 12:30 PM.  Step 3: Traveling to Jiuzhaigou by Bus

Upon arrival at Zhenjiangguan Station, the free shuttle service will transport you to Songpan County (Songzhou Bus Station). From there, you have two options to reach Jiuzhaigou National Park: either by direct bus service to the park or by taxi.

	Chengdu to Zhenjiangguan (Huanglongjiuzhai Staton & Songpan Station are yet not open). You can only take a train from Chengdu to Zhenjiangguan first, then a bus to Songpan (Songzhou Bus Station), then a connected tourist bus or taxi to Jiuzhaigou Valley.

When to Buy Tickets

Tickets can be booked up to 15 days on the official 12306 China Railway website. It is always advisable to buy tickets in advance to secure ticket availability or seat assignment. Ticets tend to sell out quickly especially during the bussy travel peak period, such as the public National Days (Gold Week), Labour’s Days, Chinese Moon Festival or Qingming Festival.
