Kunming to Jianshui
There are two ways to travel from Kunming to Jianshui: train and bus, and it takes about 3 hours by train or 3.5 – 4 hours by bus to cover the journey.
How far: The distance between Kunming and Jianshui is about 207 kilometers.
- By train: There are 4 daily ordinary trains running from Kunming to Jianshui, taking about 3 hours and costing CNY 29.5 in a hard seat. The 4 daily trains depart daily at 07:50,10:45, 12:45, 16:05 from Kunming Railway Station, stop at Jianshui Railway Station and finally terminate at Mengzi or Hekou North Station. - By bus: Taking a bus is also a convenient option. The buses to Jianshui depart from Kunming South Bus Station, and the bus fare is CNY83 per person and journey time 4 hours.
Jinghong to Jianshui
The only way to travel from Jinghong to Jianshui is by bus, which costs from 155 – 200 yuan and takes about 12 hours to cover the 534 kilometers bus journey. The buses to Jianshui departs from Jinghong Bus Station (Jinghong Keyunzhan, Keyuzhan = Bus Station), and from Jianshui you can take a bus to transfer to Yuanyang.
