Train Stations in Huaihua, Hunan Province
The city of Huaihua in Hunan Province has two train stations: 1. Huaihua Railway Station (怀化站) is a old station connected to Zhangjiajie, Jishou, Changsha, Guiyang, Kunming, Sanjiang, Liuzhou, Guilin and Nanning, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen West etc. The other one is a new stations for high speed train service: Huaihua South Railway Station.

Huaihua South Railway Station
Huahua South Railway Station (Huaihua Nan, 怀化南站) began operation on December 16, 2014, serving high speed trains on the Shanghai – Changsha – Kunming High Speed Railway, and the future Zhangjiajie – Jishou- Huaihua High Speed Railway (began construction in 2016). The south station serves as an important transfer point for those travelling to Fenghuang or Zhangjiajie.

Transportation from Huaihua South
To Huaihua Zhijiang Airport (HJJ)
Huaihua Zhijiang Airport is located in Zhijiang County (芷江县), administrated by Huaihua City, 45 km from Huaihua South Station and just 5 km from Zhijiang Railway Station (芷江站) (a high speed train station in Zhijiang County, connected with Huaihua South by high speed rail). Passengers can take a high speed train from Huaihua South to Zhijiang Railway Station (11 trains daily, 13-minute ride) first, then taxi from Zhijiang Railway Station to the airport (over 15 minutes taxi ride).
To Fenghuang Ancient Town
To get to Fenghuang, passengers need to transfer from Huaihua South Train Station to Huaihua West Bus Station (怀化汽车西站, 45 minutes by Bus or by taxi) first, then take a bus from Haihua West Bus Station to Fenghuang (over 1 hour & about 40 yuan, from 08:00 – 18:00). The bus to Fenghuang departs every one hour.

- Huaihua to Guilin by K train: There are once daily slow train K653 running from Huaihua Railway Station to Guilin North Station, which takes about 11 hrs 22mins and costs CNY152 in a hard sleeper.
- Huaihua to Guilin via Guiyang North by high speed train: No bullet trains link Huaihua with Guilin directly. You can go via Guiyang. when will the Huaihua>>Jishou>>Zhangjiajie High speed rail line be completed (estimated completion date)
The Zhangjiajie – Jishou – Huaihua HSR will begin construction at the end of 2016. When will it be completed remains unknown. Maybe in 2021.

I just saw that you maybe checking the train schedule from Huaihua to Tongren on my site. But I have to mention that my previous reply maybe incorrect. So, here I need to figure out that are you planning to go from Huaihua to Tongren (铜仁 in Guizhou Province)?
I checked it at 12306.cn and found that there is a high speed train station named Tongren South, which is linked with Huaihua South directly.
There are 15 high speed trains running daily from Huaihua Nan (South) 怀化南 to Tongren Nan (South) 铜仁南 (Journey time: 35 – 40 mins, From CNY49)

Is it possible to get a taxi or a car from Huaihua South Rail to Fenghuang?
Of course you can do so, but it will be much more expensive than using a bus.

Huaihua is not big, you ca take a taxi to navigate.

How far is from Huaihua railway station to Huaihua South railway station. I will be travelling from Zhangjiajie to Huaihua and I need to transfer to Huaihua South to catch another train to Guiyang. I want to know how much time I need between the transfer points so I can book a train ticket that I wont miss due to timing. Thank you.
As the search results from Gaode Map shows, there are public buses liking the two train station in 50 minutes. If taking a taxi, the duration is about 20-25 mins. It is advised to allow 1h30m for making the transfer, and catching your next train.
