Hong Kong’s high speed train station – West Kowloon Station, opened on September 23, 2018 makes it possible to travel to or from cities in mainland China by direct high speed trains. As of September of 2018, West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong has frequent bullet trains to Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, and a few bullet trains futher to Shantou, Huizhou, Xiamen, Fuzhou, and Beijing, Shanghai, Guilin, Yangshuo, Kunming, Guiyang, etc.

How to Buy High Speed Train Tickets in Hong Kong
According the latest news, Hong Kong’s high speed train schedule and tickets will be released from September 10, and the high speed trains will start running on Septembr 23. Passengers can pre-book your train tickets before the opening of high speed train service in West Kowloon Station. You have these options to buy your train tickets:

Buy Tickets at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station
For booking high speed train tickets from Hong Kong to cities in mainland China, you can go to the train station and buy tickets yourself. There are ticket windows, self-service machines and third-party tour agencies selling train tickets. Foreigners can use your valid passport to buy tickets at West Kowloon Station.Tickets are classified as adult ticket and child ticket.
Buy at ticket counters at station : There are about 28 ticket windows set in West Kowloon Station, which deal with ticket purchase, ticket collection, ticket change and ticket refund service. Of the 28 ticket windows, 25 of which only deal service for trains originating from or ending in Hong Kong (ie: Hong Kong to Guangzhou train or Guangzhou to Hong Kong train), 5 of which only deal service for trains that are not originating or ending in Hong Kong (for example: Guangzhou to Xian, Shenzhen to Nanjing). So, just go to the right ticket windows.
Buy at ticket-machines in West Kowloon Station: There are 39 self-service ticketing machines set in West Kowloon Station, with which you can buy high speed trains tickets from Hong Kong to a number of cities in mainland China. The ticket machines offer English instructions. Passengers can only use the ticket machine to buy tickets for no more than 10 tickets. Ticket machines only accept Hong Kong dollars and electronic payments up to HK$ 1000.
