Kunming – Guangzhou High Speed Train
Kunming South Railway Station is scheduled to open on December 26, 2016 and to introduce high speed train service linking directly to Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, which enables passengers to travel by fast train from Kunming to Guangzhou in just 9 hours. The high speed trains will go through Nanning, spanning three provinces of Yunnan, Guangxi and Guangdong. It takes 4 hours from Kunming to Nanning, and 9 hours from Kunming to Guangzhou, and 10 hours to Shenzhen.
Stations along the route: Kunming South – Yangzong – Shilin Banqiao – Nile- Xinshao – Hongshiyan – Puzehei – Zhulin – Guangnan – Baise – Tianyang – Tiandongbei – Nahe – Pingguo – Longan- Natong – Wangbu – Jiangxicun – Jinjicun – Nanning South – Nanning – Guangzhou South.

Kunming – Guangzhou by Normal Train
The normal trains here refers to the T, Z or K type trains with a top speed under 200 km/h. These kinds of trains often run overnight at a not that fast speed as the fast train, but they are fairly cheap and save you the cost of a night of hotel accommodation, and the experience can be fun.
