The best way to travel to Tai’an City is by high speed trains using the new train Station named Tai’an Railway Station. Then you can get to the Mount Tai by public bus or hire a private driver. The following information may be helpful to you.
Tai’an Train Station
Tai’an Railway Station (Taian, 泰安站) is a train station serving high speed trains to or from Tai’an City along the Beijing – Shanghai High Speed Railway. All the G or D type bullet train stop at this station. The station is about 6.5 km from Tai’an’s city center and has bullet train to or from Jinan West, Jinan Station, Hangzhou, Shanghai Hongqiao, Xuzhou East, Beijing South, Tianjin West, Qingdao, Nanjing South, Fuzhou and Zhengzhou, etc.
Tai’an Railway Station has 4 platforms. The No. 1 and 2 platforms are for trains bound for Nanjing South, Kunshan South, Shanghai Hongqiao, while the No.3 and 4 platforms are for trains bound for Jinan West, Tianjin West and Beijing South.
How to get to Tai’an Railway Station: There are frequent bus service linking this station with the city, and passengers can take bus 17, 18, 27, 34, 38, 44 to arrive at or leave from this station. Be noted that the bus stop at this station is named as “高铁泰安站” (literally means Tai’an High Speed Bus Station).

Taishan Train Station
Taishan Railway Station (Taishan, 泰山站) is an old train station built in 1909 and located in Taishan District of Tai’an City. This station doesn’t serve any bullet trains but only some ordinary trains including the K, Z, T type normal trains to or from Zibo, Shanghai, Xuzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing West, Yantai, Hankou, Jinan, Wenzhou, Ningbo East, Changsha, Jining, Guangzhou East, Shenzhen West, etc.

Which Train Station for Going to Taishan
As you know, there are two train stations in Tai’an: Tai’an Railway Station and Taishan Railway Station. But which one is more close with easy access to Mount Taishan? The answer is Taishan Railway Station.
Taishan Railway Station is idealy located within the unban area with only 3 – 4 bus stops from Mountain Taishan. Travelers can take the Bus no.3 from Taishan Railway Station to Hongmen (红门) stop to get to the Mount Taishan scenic spot. It is very convienient for those who travel far from Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Guangzhou by overnight trains, departing at night and arriving in the morning, which allows plenty of time for clibing the mountain.
Entrance Fee: CNY125 per person in peak season (February to November), and CNY100 per person in off-peak time (December to January).
Nearest Airport from Tai’an
The nearest airport from Tai’an is Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (TNA), from where you can catch a domestic flights to China’s others cities, as well the international flights to South Korean, Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong etc.
