Introduction
There’s no direct train connections between Lijiang & Jiuzhaigou, the fastest and best route is to take a flight from Lijiang to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport first, then a train to Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station, then follow by a bus to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area.

The Route: Lijiang → Chengdu → Huanglongjiuzhai – Jiuzhaigou
Step 1: Take a flight from Lijiang to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport
There are flight connections between Lijiang Sanyi Airport and Chengdu Shuangliu Airport (CTU). Just catch a flight to Shuangliu Airport.
Step 2: Take a train from Shuangliu Airport to Huanglongjiuzhai Station
Upon arrival at Shuangliu Airport, just follow the signs to Shuangliu Airport Railway Station (Shuangliujichang Station), from where there is once daily direct train C5752 to Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station, departing at 11:19, taking 2.5 hours.
If you miss the direct train, you can make a transfer at Chengdu East (Route: Shuangliu Airprot – Chengdu East – Huanglongjiuzhai Station). Then, you will find more trains available.

Arriving at Huanglongjiuzhai Station
Opened in August 2024, Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station is the closest high-speed rail station to both Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Scenic Areas. Upon arrival, you can take the through bus outside the train station for reaching the scenic areas:
- Through bus to Jiuzhaigou Valley: The bus ride from Huanglongjiuzhai Station to Jiuzhaigou Valley takes about 2 hrs, CNY 51/p.
- Through bus to Huanglong: If you’re headed to Huanglong, the bus ride is even shorter—just about 40-50 minutes, CNY 28/p.
