Introduction
As there is no direct high-speed train from Dali to Jiuzhaigou, a transfer in Chengdu and HuanglongJiuzhai Train Station (the nearest train statio to Jiuzhaigou Park) is necessary. Here’s the route.

Step 1: Travelling from Dali to Chengdu
The journey from Dali to Chengdu is quite extensive, and currently, there are no direct high-speed trains running from Dali to Jiuzhaigou. Therefore, your first step will be to take a high-speed train from Dali to Chengdu.
- Direct Trains: There are two daily direct high-speed trains from Dali Railway Station to Chengdu East Railway Station, with a travel time of about 8.5 hours.
- Indirect Trains: If you miss the direct trains, consider transferring in Kunming, where there will be more options available to continue your journey to Chengdu.
Given the length of the trip, it is recommended to spend a night in Chengdu before continueing to Jiuzhaigou.

Step 2: Chengdu to Huanglongjiuzhaigou Station
Once you’ve rested in Chengdu, head to Chengdu East Railway Station (Chengdudong) for the next leg of your journey.
- Trains to Huanglongjiuzhaigou Station: Multiple high-speed trains depart from Chengdu East Railway Station to HuanglongJiuzhai Train Station daily. The journey typically takes around 2.5 hours.
Step 3: Arriving at Huanglong Jiuzhaigou Station
HuanglongJiuzhai Railway Station is the closest train station to both Jiuzhaigou Park and Huanglong Scenic Areas.
- Distance to Scenic Areas: The station is about 90 kilometers from Jiuzhaigou Valley and approximately 26 kilometers from the Huanglong Scenic Area.
Step 4: Taking Bus from Huanglongjiuzhai Station to Jiuzhaigou / Huanglong
Upon arrival at HuanglongJiuzhai Railway Station, you have a couple of options to reach the Jiuzhaigou or Huanglong scenic areas:
- Shuttle Buses: Shuttle buses are available at the station to take you to both destinations. The ride to Huanglong Scenic Area takes about half an hour, while the journey to Jiuzhaigou Valley takes roughly 2 hours.
