Introduction

Nantong City is a prefecture-level city under the administration of Jiangsu Province, located in the center of the Yangtze River Delta. It is comprised of districts including Chongchuan, Tongzhou, Haimen, Qidong, Rugao, Hai’an, and Rudong County. It is approximately 135 km from Shanghai and around 180 km from Shanghai Pudong Airport. Nantong City currently has two main railway stations: Nanzhan West Station and Nantong Station. Nantong West Station is a high-speed rail station

Nantong Westi Railway Station, located in Tongzhou District of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, China, is approximately 20 km from the city center. It takes about 1 hour to reach the station by taking Metro Line 1. The station serves as an integrated transportation hub, offering various modes of transportation including railways, urban rail transit, and buses. It is also an important junction station for the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway, Yancheng-Nantong Express Railway, and Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo Express Railway. The station has a total of 4 platforms and 8 tracks. Nantongxi Railway Station officially opened on July 1, 2020, along with the inauguration of the Hu-Su-Tong Railway.

As the major high-speed railway station in Nantong City, Nantong West Station operates approximately 69 high-speed trains daily, including trains categorized as G, D, and C. Among them, there are frequent high-speed train services to major cities outside the province, including Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shaoxing, Jiaxing,  Qingdao, Jinan, Tianjin, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hefei, and Huangshan. Additionally, there are train services available to various destinations within the Jiangsu Province , including Nanjing, Xuzhou, Lianyungang, Huai’an, Yancheng, Yangzhou, Taizhou, Suqian, Zhangjiagang, etc.

By bus: Nantongxi Railway Station has a bus station called “Nantongxi Station,” where passengers can transfer to several bus routes to downtown Nantong. The available bus routes include Nantong Bus 17, 26, 42, 630, 629, 290, 286, and 603, which can take you to various destinations in the city.

By rail transit: Nantongxi Railway Station is approximately 20 kilometers away from the city center of Nantong. It takes about 1 hour to travel by Metro Line 1.
