Jianshui Train Station Guide

Jianshui Railway Station, located in Jianshui County of the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, China, is a third-class station under the jurisdiction of the China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. The station was established in 1928 and relocated in 2013.

Location and History

The original Jianshui Station, also known as Lin’an Station, was located at Yinghui Road, Lin’an Town, Jianshui County, with the postal code 654300. The station ushered in the era of railways for Jianshui County when the Gejiu-Stone Railway was completed in October 1928. The station was relocated to Jinjizhai and put into use on February 23, 2013, with the opening of the Yumeng Railway.

Transportation

For local transportation, Jianshui Bus 919 operates a special line for the railway station. The route starts from the railway station and ends at the ancient city center, passing through the passenger station, the Supply and Marketing Mansion, and Chaoyang Tower. The bus departs from Hongyun at various times throughout the day, with departures from the Supply and Marketing Mansion occurring 10 minutes later. Passengers can get on and off the bus at any stop along the route.

Passenger Services

Jianshui Station handles passenger boarding and alighting as well as luggage consignment services. In January 2020, the station implemented electronic ticket services and achieved nationwide networking.

Freight Services

The station also handles the dispatch and receipt of full carloads and less-than-carload freight.
