Getting to Huangshan

  • High-Speed Rail

    • Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Rail: With its operation, the journey from Hefei to Huangshan takes just over an hour, and from Fuzhou to Huangshan, it’s around 2.5 hours.
      • Dubbed the “Most Beautiful High-Speed Rail in China,” it connects four renowned Chinese mountains: Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan, Sanqingshan, and Wuyishan.
      • The route passes through the cultural and scenic areas of ancient Huizhou, southern Anhui villages, Jixi, and Wuyuan.
    • Hangzhou-Huangshan High-Speed Rail: Traveling from Hangzhou to Huangshan now takes only 1.5 hours, significantly reducing travel time for weekend getaways.
    • Shanghai-Huangshan High-Speed Rail: The newly opened high-speed rail line from Shanghai to Huangshan provides travelers with a convenient option, shortening the travel time considerably.

      • The airport is a short 20-minute drive from the city center, with daytime shuttle buses directly to the Huangshan Scenic Area.
  • Normal Train

    • With the prevalence of high-speed rail, normal train travel to Huangshan has decreased. However, normal trains remain a convenient option for cities where high-speed rail might not be as accessible.
      • The Huangshan train station is located in the city center, with shuttle buses to the south gate of the Huangshan Scenic Area available. Departures are from 5:30 to 17:00, with a fare of 20 yuan.
  • Long-Distance Bus

    • Bus stations (Huangshan Long-Distance Bus Station and Passenger Transport Center) are approximately 3 kilometers from the city center. Buses to the city center or the train station are available at the square in front of the exit, with a taxi costing around 10 yuan.
      • Buses to major scenic spots, including Tangkou South Gate, run frequently from 6:30 to 18:30, with an average frequency of one every 20 minutes and a fare of 20 yuan.

    • In recent years, self-driving tours have become increasingly popular. With well-developed highways and expressways, reaching Huangshan is convenient by following a navigation system.

Transportation Within Huangshan City
