Option 1: High-Speed Train from Xipu to Liduigongyuan
The high-speed train is the most efficient way to travel from Chengdu to Dujiangyan. Here’s how you can make the journey:
- Starting Point: Take Chengdu Metro Line 2 or Line 6 to Xipu Metro Station. Exit from Entrance A and walk approximately 200 meters to reach Xipu Railway Station.
- Train Journey: From Xipu Railway Station, board a high-speed train to Liduigongyuan Railway Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
- Arrival: Liduigongyuan Railway Station is conveniently located near Dujiangyan Scenic Area. Upon exiting the station, you will find yourself at Yang Tian Square (where there is a gigantic sculpture of selfie-taking panda ). The entrance to the scenic area is just 500 meters across the street.
- Cost: The train ticket prices vary, but they are generally affordable, making this a cost-effective option.

Option 2: Scenic Direct Bus (HiPanda Shuttle Bus)
For those who prefer a direct route from popular tourist spots (including Chunxi Road / IFS, Kuanzhai Alley) in Chengdu to Dujiangyan, the HiPanda Shuttle Bus (sometimes referred as through bus or direct bus express) is an excellent choice.
- Departure Point: The most convenient departure is from Chunxi Road / IFS, located in the city center. The bus stop is opposite Exit C of Chunxi Road Metro Station, under the iconic panda climbing the wall of Chengdu IFS.
- Journey: The shuttle bus takes you directly to the P4 parking lot of Dujiangyan Scenic Area.
