Suzhou Xinqu Railway Station in New District of Suzhou

Suzhou New District Railway Station (苏州新区站, Suzhou Xinqu Station) is a railway station located in Huqiu District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. It is operated by the Shanghai Railway Bureau Group Co., Ltd. (中国铁路上海局集团有限公司) and is one of the intermediate stations on the Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway (沪宁城际铁路), a high-speed rail line that connects Shanghai and Nanjing, two major cities in eastern China. The station opened on July 1, 2010 and has a total building area of 5,000 square meters, a yard scale of 2 platforms and 4 tracks, and a design peak hour passenger flow of 6,000 passengers/hour.

The Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway has a maximum speed of 350 km/h and a total length of 301 km. It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to travel from Shanghai to Suzhou New District Station, and about 1 hour and 30 minutes to travel from Suzhou New District Station to Nanjing.
