Effective December 17, 2024, Shekou Port has became one of China’s designated ports for the 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit policy. Eligible foreign travelers transiting through Shekou can stay for up to 10 days without a visa. To utilize this policy:
- Present valid travel documents and onward tickets to a thrid country / region (Hong Kong & Macau are regarded as a third region).
- Follow the designated activity area.
The Shekou Border Inspection Station provides bilingual guidance (Chinese/English) and multilingual staff to assist with procedures, ensuring efficient clearance.
15-Day Visa-Free Entry for Cruise Tourist Groups
Since May 15, 2024, foreign tourist groups arriving via international cruises organized by Chinese travel agencies can enjoy a 15-day visa-free stay. This policy aims to boost inbound tourism and has already attracted thousands of international visitors, including passengers from the Pacific World cruise.
