Pazhou Ferry Terminal in Downtown of Guangzhou

Latest news: Pazhou Ferry Terminal will be put into operation before 113rd Canton Fair. Jack’s news: the opening date will probably on April 18 of 2023. I will update the info later.

Pazhou Ferry Terminal is a ferry terminal under construction in Haizhu District and scheduled to open in April of 2023. It is located close to the China Import and Export Fair Complex (namely the Pazhou Complex for Canton Fair), and near the Pazhou Station on metro line 8. When it opens, there will be high speed ferries linking the Guangzhou Pazhou Ferry Terminal and Hong Kong International Airport (Skypier) in two hours, as well as Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal (in China Hong Kong City, Tsim Sha Tsui) in 2 hours. In the future, the terminal will also offer ferries to Macau, and Macau Internatinal Airport.

The Pazhou Ferry Terminal has three floors. The first floor is for check-in and security check, and the second floor for exiting, third floor for entry.

Hong Kong Airport – Guangzhou Pazhou Ferry Schedule

Starting from April of 2023 when Pazhou Ferry Terminal opens, there will be high speed ferries linking Pazhou Ferry Terminal in Guangzhou and Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Skypier in around 2 hours. The ferry offers 60 first class seats and 200 normal class seats. It enables passengers who fly out of Hong Kong International Airport to check in flights and hand over check-in luggages dierctly in Pazhou of Guangzhou.

Visa on Arrival during 113rd Canton Fair

Pazhou Ferry Terminal is scheduled to temporarily start  operation (on April 18) during the upcoming 113rd Canton Fair, operating ferry services to or from Hong Kong Airport Skypier. Visa-on-Arrival service at Pazhou Ferry Terminal will also be available from April 15.

Hong Kong Airport – Pazhou Complex by Train

Apart from the ferries, passengers can also travel from Hong Kong International Airport to Pazhou Complex for Canton Fair by train, here are the steps:

  1. Take the airport express from HKG Airport to Kowloon MTR station first, 22 mins.
  2. From Kowloon MTR station, just walk via the footbridge or subways to West Kowloon Station.
  3. Catch a high speed train from HK West Kowloon to Guangzhou South Station (Guangzhounan) or Guangzhou East Station (Guangzhoudong).
  4. Take a metro from Guangzhou South to Pazhou Station, or from Guangzhou East to Pazhou Station.
  5. Walk from Pazhou Station to Pazhou Complex.
