Overview of the Route
There’s no direct high-speed rail connection between Tianfu Airport and Jiuzhaigou. However, you can easily reach Jiuzhaigou by following these steps:
- Take a high-speed train from Tianfu Airport to Chengdu East Railway Station
- Transfer to another high-speed train from Chengdu East to Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station
- Take a through bus from Huanglongjiuzhai Station to Jiuzhaigou National Park or Huanglong Scenic Area

Step 1: Tianfu Airport to Chengdu East
Train Details
- Frequency: 33 trains daily
- Duration: Approximately 28 minutes
- Cost: 28-31 yuan
The first leg of your journey is a short high-speed train ride from Tianfu Airport Railway Station (Tianfujichang Station) to Chengdu East Railway Station. With frequent departures throughout the day, you’ll have plenty of options to fit your schedule.
Step 2: Chengdu East to Huanglongjiuzhai
Train Details
- Frequency: 7 trains daily
- Duration: 1.5-2 hours
- Cost: 128-144 yuan
From Chengdu East, you’ll board another high-speed train to Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station. This station, opened in August 2024, replaced the older Zhenjiangguan Station and is now the closest rail hub to both Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Scenic Areas.
Step 3: Huanglongjiuzhai Station to Jiuzhaigou

Upon arrival at Huanglongjiuzhai Station, you’ll find through buses that connect directly to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. The bus schedule is coordinated with train arrivals to ensure smooth transfers.
- Through bus to Jiuzhaigou Valley: The bus ride from Huanglongjiuzhai Station to Jiuzhaigou Valley takes about 2 hrs, CNY 51/p.
- Through bus to Huanglong: If you’re headed to Huanglong, the bus ride is even shorter—just about 40-50 minutes, CNY 28/p.

Huanglongjiuzhai Station to Huanglong Scenic Spot
Upon arrival at Huanglongjiuzhai Station, you can also find through buses to Huanglong Scenic Area, which takes you 40 mins.
