Introduction
As the “Southern Gateway” of Anhui Province, Qimen County is renowned for its abundant production of black tea, earning it the title of the “Hometown of Chinese Black Tea.” With a rich history in tea production dating back to the Tang Dynasty, Qimen County had a thriving tea market even in ancient times.
The newly constructed Qimen South Station (Qimennan) stands as the first high-speed railway station in Qimen County. Located in Qimen County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, it is situated approximately 3 km south of the central urban area of Qimen County. This station is part of the Nanchang – Jingdezhen – Huangshan High Speed Railway and is expected to be operational by the end of 2023. The station is designed with two platforms and four lines.
Upon commencement, Qimen South Station will serve high-speed trains heading to various destinations, including Huangshan, Nanchang, Jingdezhen, Hefei, Hangzhou, Qiandao Lake, and Shanghai.
Nanchang – Jingdezhen – Huangshan HSR
The Nanchang-Jingdezhen-Huangshan High-Speed Railway, also known as the Changjinghuang High-Speed Railway, is a high-speed railway that connects Nanchang City and Jingdezhen City in Jiangxi Province with Huangshan City in Anhui Province.
The construction of the Changjinghuang High-Speed Railway began on December 25, 2018 and is expected to be completed and open for service at the end of 2023. The railway is 289.807 kilometers long, including a 200.276-kilometer section in Jiangxi Province and an 89.531-kilometer section in Anhui Province. It has 10 stations, including Nanchang East and West, Jiangxi’s Jinxian North, Yugan, Poyang, Le’an North, Jingdezhen North, Fuliang East, Qimen South, Yixian East and Huangshan North stations. The designed operating speed is 350 km/h.
