Air Travel

The fastest way to travel from Jiuzhaigou to Guilin is by air. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

1. Fly from Jiuzhaigou to Chengdu: Start your journey by taking a flight from JiuzhaigouHuanglong Airport (JZH) to Chengdu, which is a major transportation hub in Southwest China.
2. Transfer in Chengdu: Upon arrival in Chengdu, you will need to transfer to another flight heading to Guilin Liangjiang Airport (KWL).

Land Travel by High Speed Rail

If you prefer a land journey or want to experience the high-speed rail in China, here’s how you can travel:

1. From Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong Jiuzhai Station: First, take a shuttle bus from the Jiuzhaigou scenic area to the nearest high-speed railway station, HuanglongJiuzhai Train Station. This station is the nearest train station from Jiuzhaigou Valley (90 km away), about 2 hours bus ride.
2. From HuanglongJiuzhai Station to Chengdu East Station: Once at the station, board a high-speed train to o Chengdu East Station (Chengdudong, Chengdu Dong). The journey takes approximately 2 hours.
3. From Chengdu East Station to Guilin: After arriving in Chengdu East, take another high-speed train to Guilin (Guilin Railway Staiton, Guilin North or Guilin West). This leg of the journey usually takes about 5-7 hours. Guilin Station and Guilin North are more close to the city with easy access.

Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station

HuanglongJiuzhai Train Station is located in Chuanzhusi Town, Songpan County, with an elevation of 2,977 meters. The station is designed to cover an area of 4,000 square meters, capable of accommodating up to 800 people at its peak. It features two platforms and four tracks. The station is approximately 26 kilometers away from the Huanglong Scenic Area and 90 kilometers from the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. After the train departs from Chengdu East Station, it takes about two hours to reach Huanglong Jiuzhai Station. From there, the scenic area shuttle bus takes approximately half an hour to get to Huanglong and two hours to get to Jiuzhaigou.
