Introduction
Traveling from Macau to Kunming by high speed train involves crossing the border into Zhuhai and then catching a high-speed train from Zhuhai Railway Station to Guangzhou, and again another connected train to Kunming. (There is no train stations in Macau)
Zhuhai Railway Station also has 1 direct trains to Kunming, but it operates once daily. If this doesn’t suit your time, you may consider maing a transfer at Guangzhou South Station (Guangzhounan).

Step 1: Exiting Macau
Begin your journey in Macau by heading to one of the border crossings to mainland China. The most popular crossing is the Gongbei Port of Entry, which leads directly into Zhuhai.

Step 2: Entering Zhuhai
After passing through immigration and customs at Gongbei Port, you’ll find yourself in Zhuhai. Zhuhai Railway Station is conveniently located just beside the border crossing.

Step 3: Take the Train to Guangzhou
At Zhuhai Railway Station, purchase a ticket for a high-speed train to Guangzhou South Station (Guangzhounan). Trains are frequent, with several departures throughout the day.

Step 4: Take a Train from Guangzhou to Your Destinations
Once reaching Guangzhou South, just find a connected train from Guangzhou South to your final destination. Remember to allow 40 mins for the connection time.

Which Train Station in Kunming
There are two major train stations in Kunming: the old one is Kunming Railway Station and the new one is Kunming South Railway Station (Kunmingnan). Kunming Railway Station seves trains to major cities within Yunnan Province as well as a few destinations beyond Yunnan, such as Nanning, Guangzhou, Liuzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing. While Kunming South serves more trains to major cities outside Yunnan.
