Introduction
Traveling from Shenyang to Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) is about to become much more convenient with the scheduled completion of the Tianjin – Daxing Airport Railway by the end of 2023. This high-speed railway will connect Tianjin West Station to Daxing Airport Station, and travelles only need to make a transfer at Tianjin West Station (Shenyang to Tianjin West to Daxing Airport).

Just be noted that there is currently no direct high-speed train linking Shenyang & Beijing Daxing International Airport directly. Passengers wishing to travel from Shenyang to the PKX airport will need to transfer at Tianjin West Station once the Tianjin – Daxing Airport Railway is operational at the end of 2023.
For those departing from Shenyang, high-speed trains are available from Shenyang North (Shenyangbei), Shenyang Station, and Shenyang South Station (Shenyangnan) to Tianjin West (Tianjinxi), with the first two stations offering more frequent services.
To reach the high-speed train stations in Shenyang, passengers can use the city’s metro system. Shenyang Metro provides convenient connections to all three train stations:
– Shenyang North Station is accessible via Line 2, Line 4 (Shenyangbeizhan).
– Shenyang Station can be reached by Line 1 (Shenyangzhan).
– Shenyang South Station is connected by Line 4 (Shenyangnanzhan).

Tianjin – Daxing Airport Railway
The Tianjin – Daxing Airport Railway has six stations along the way: Tianjin West Station (Tianjinxi), Shengfang Station, Anci Station, Yongqingdong Station, Guanandong Station, and Daxing Airport Station (Daxingjichang). The railway runs parallel to the Beijing-Tianjin Expressway, and passes through the provinces of Tianjin, Hebei, and Beijing. It a total length of 100.1 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The railway will be completed and opened by the end of 2023, and it will shorten the travel time between Tianjin and the airport to only 36 minutes.
Daxing Airport Railway Station
Daxing Airport Station (Daxingjichang) is the terminal station of the Tianjin – Daxing Airport Railway, and also the main station of the Beijing Daxing International Airport. The station is located underground, below the airport terminal building. The station has four platforms and eight tracks, and it is connected to the airport by escalators, elevators, and moving walkways. At Daxing Airport Station, you can easily transfer to the airport terminal, where you can check in, go through security, and board your flight.
If you want to travel from the airport to other destinations in Beijing, you can also take the Beijing – Xiongan Intercity Railway, which connects the airport with Beijing West Station in 30 minutes.

When to Buy Tickets
Tickets can be booked up to 15 days on the official 12306 China Railway website. It is always advisable to buy tickets in advance to secure ticket availability or seat assignment. Ticets tend to sell out quickly especially during the bussy travel peak period, such as the public National Days (Gold Week), Labour’s Days, Chinese Moon Festival or Qingming Festival.
