The team was very fast in replies and helped to change my train tickets which were booked wrongly.

It’s slightly nerve wracking taking a train in a country where you don’t speak the language - but it all worked beautifully with China Highlights. The train ticketing in China for the high speed trains is entirely digital - you will need to produce your passport at the station and you won’t need any other documentation - no paper tickets at all. There is a special queue for people without a Chinese ID card - make sure you are in that one. The queue to check ID cards/ passports opens 45 minutes before travel and you have to get through security before that so leave plenty of time.
Trains are clean, comfortable and FAST. We travelled from Chengdu to Xi’an and from Xi’an to Beijing and both went extremely smoothly.

Communication was smooth and precise, and all train tickets were released as soon as they were available (I booked three separate long distance trips). There was no need to print anything, the scanning of passports went smoothly at the station and we could board all trains without problems. I even asked for assistance while in China through Wechat, got immediate response, and saved myself a annoying trip to the station. Highly recommended

We ordered train tickets for two trips, one to Beijing, and to Hangzhou, in March 2024, both from Shanghai and several weeks before the opening of the ticket sales. In both cases it worked flawlessly, we received the booking confirmations on the first day of ticketing opening, and according to our order. Travel only required a passport, no e-ticket, no print-out needed (just go to the counter with a staff member present; both at security and at the train access gate). In summary, no reason to worry at all, very easy and convenient. Depending on the day of travel would recommend to be at the railway station 50mins prior, just to avoid any stress.

I had an amazing experience buying train tickets with this agency from beijing to shanghai. Even though the dates we requested were during the chinese new year and it is very difficult to book things around those dates, the agency booked our desired seat and train time with no further issues and the agents were very helpful and answered all ours questions.

I choose already second time China Highlights train service. The website is excellent, it's easy to find trains that fit for the personal plan. Payment by creditcard works without problems. Also refund (we couldn't get seats in business class) was done immediately.

The train booking team was prompt and helpful in changing the date of my scheduled sleeper train to a new date via email, and there were no issues when I arrived at the train station. For first timers hopping on intercity trains in China, be sure to arrive to the station with enough time to print your train ticket at a kiosk (Mandarin speakers) or the English service line before boarding. You will need to provide your itinerary number from the train booking confirmation.
